| I'm truly double minded about
this issue because the thought of
killing an innocent person for
something they did not do would be a
horrible disgrace. And the reality
is innocent people do go to jail for
crimes they did not commit. Sadly
innocent people have been put to
death for crimes they did not
commit. Because of this I am
apposed to capital punishment, what
if I was falsely accused or just
mistakenly accused of murdering
someone? I have been mistaken for
another person before, people walked
up to me thinking I was someone
else, apparently I looked allot like
this other person, now what if that
|
person killed someone and the police picked
me up and all the witnesses picked me out of
a lineup, I could end up on death row. and
the person that looks like me and committed
the crime is living in another town free
with no one looking for him. I'm sure this
has happened and innocent people have been
killed because of it. I'm a white person, I
believe it can happen to me, just imagine
how easily it could happen to a black
person.
Do I really need to explain my previous
statement? |

But then on the
other hand |
Kill the bastards, shoot them in
the face the moment the judges gable
strikes the plate. I have heard the
argument that capital punishment
costs the tax payer millions of
dollars for each execution. I don't
get it! how much does a .22 caliber
bullet cost? you can buy a box of
500 for like $3.99. We can learn
from our wise guy informants how to
do it with just one bullet, that's
only $0.00798 cents a pop, (good
pun) just think how many other
people we can kill for the same
million dollars, we could empty the
prisons and save the tax payers
millions of dollars, this will save
the economy and reduce crime.
Ok The above statement was just a
joke. |
I believe if a person is found guilty of a
capital crime beyond the shadow of a doubt,
execution is better then life in prison.
Because sometimes there is a chance this
person will end up back on the streets
looking to kill again, this has happened
many times and many innocent people are dead
that would not have died if we killed the
criminal in the first place, you never know
what a judge or parole board may do in the
future, when the crime has been forgotten
about and the outrage is gone.
But if the person is put to death, he can
never kill again and can never be paroled.
