I'm really stuck between a rock and a hard
place with this issue, My problem is not
with gay rights at all, it's with the people
who are against it and the people who are
for it. For the most part democratic
liberals, are all in favor of gay rights and
same sex marriages, and republicans are
against it like it's some kind of contagious
disease. My problem is I don't like, and
don't want to be associated with democrats
or liberals, their views and ideas are
dangerous and will destroy this great
country. But I just don't see the problem
with gay rights and same sex marriage, If
God disapproves of gay people, why did he
make them gay? I was watching the news
today, and a group of ministers want the
general public to have the right to vote on
whether or not gays have a right to marry,
what gives us the right to decide who,
should love who, and who, should have a
right to commit there lives to who? Gay
people have been with us from the beginning
of time, and will be here as long as man
kind lives on this earth, if we are for gay
people, or against gays, they will still be
here, laws and discrimination has never
driven them away, all it has done is cause
people to be confused and hide in closets.

| I think about the fact that I
was born white, It would be insane
for the people of this country to
have the right to vote on whether or
not I have a right to be white,
because I am what I am, gay people
are who they are, no law or
discrimination is going to prevent
that. If you don't want gay people
in your church, that's your choice,
go ahead and discriminate in the
name of god, but don't tell the
people outside of your church what
they should or should not do. (Dam
separation of church and state,
isn't that another liberal idea?
(well I still think children should
be allowed to say the Pledge of
allegiance is our public schools))
(one nation under God, not one
nation under church)
Gay people don't bother me, I'm
not afraid I will catch the gay bug
and become gay. I have been very
close to gay men and gay women They
have even touched me and I did not
fall dead, or even start to find men
attractive.
So this is my problem, The afore
mentioned ministers went on to say
they would vote democrats out of
office if they did not pass a law
giving us the right to vote on gay
peoples rights to marry, on the one
hand, I want democrats to lose their
seats, on the other I don't want to
support ministers who think they
have a right to tell people how to
live.
To my fellow republicans who may
feal betrayed by this page, GROW UP. |
