my opinion on Litter |

| I think littering is a good
idea, because it allows some local
prison inmates to get out of jail
and pick up all the litter that is
thrown all over the road side. I
kind of get a kick out of the orange
jumpsuits and the cop with the
shotgun. I think is a great form of
rehabilitation, and exercise for the
inmates, they get fresh air and
sunshine and even learn how nasty
litter really is, the only problem
is they don't come around often
enough to keep the litter in check.
I have a great idea, as we all know
prisons are over crowded and some
criminals are let out because there
are not enough beds or cells. what
if we had 3- 8 hour shifts of
inmates picking up litter. While one
group is out

But then on the
other hand |
| What the hell is wrong with you
people? I'm not double minded about
this at all, littering is wrong, no
two ways about it. What surprises me
is the amount of people that do it
and how the can justify doing it.
for example, "it's just a cigarette
butt" or "this is an expensive car I
don't want any garbage in it" or "
if they stop sending me junk mail,
I'll stop throwing in on the road".
Sometimes I think I'm the only one
that is bothered by it, I see signs
saying not to litter but I have
never seen a cop pull over a car
because someone threw something out
of a car window (I'm sure it does
happen, but not enough). I was
sitting in my van in the parking lot
of a McDonalds eating my

KEEP YOUR GARBAGE TO YOUR SELF.
USE YOUR ASHTRAY, AND DON'T
EMPTY IT ON THE FLOOR OF THE PARKING
LOT.
KEEP A GARBAGE BAG IN YOUR CAR AND
DON'T THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW WHEN
IT'S FULL.
HOW LAZY CAN YOU BE?

| picking up garbage, the others
can use the cells and beds, then
they switch off, the prisons can now
house 66% more prisoners. Now don't worry the good
neighbors of the communities will
gladly provide enough garbage for
all the inmates to pick up 24 hours
a day 7 days a week, and we will
probably still have plenty of litter
lying around for many more future
criminals. So for all you lazy,
inconsiderate bastards that don't
have the good sense to dispose of
your garbage properly, I hope one of
the inmates escape and kill you.
Sorry about that previous statement,
but it's hard, even for a double
minded man, to find a positive
reason for littering up our
beautiful countryside. |

| lunch, in front of me was a car
full of young adults also eating, directly in front of the car was
a garbage can that had a sigh on it
" Please Don't Litter", the person
in the drivers seat threw all of the
packaging from his meal, the cup,
the box the wrapper, and the napkins
on the ground just out side the car
door, then gets out of the car steps
on the garbage that he just threw on
the ground, walks right passed the
garbage can and gets more food. the
other occupants of the car also
threw there garbage on the ground.
The thing is I understand being
young and stupid, I was also young
and stupid and did my fair share of
littering, but I have grown up. The
man who throws his junk mail on the
ground right in front of his own
driveway is in his fifties and just
will not stop doing it. The people I
see throwing trash out of there cars
on the highways are not children.
It really is sad to see all the
garbage all over the roadside, the
sooner it gets picked up the sooner
more garbage is thrown down. SHAME
ON ALL OF YOU WHO LITTER. |
