I found your site while
trying to learn some things about
double-mindedness. I think you need to choose a
position and stand by it, no matter what it is.
This doesn't mean you reject other positions or
points of view, it means that you have faith that
someone else (more capable than you) will
pick-it-up. To think you must embrace all positions
is selfish in that you cannot trust that there are
capable others passionate about various positions
and perspectives. The world will not collapse if
you turn a blind-eye to something you agree with.
A man must be focused
otherwise his energy is tenuous, diffused, and
ineffective at anything. I have no interest in gay
issues, no interest in social dominance or status,
and no interest in anything that has anything to do
with politics. I am however deeply and passionately
obsessed with the cosmos, atheism, theism, sense,
reason, geophysics, and the like. I have faith
there are others who will carry the other torches.
I will attempt to work on building the bridge
between pure reason with God and see many hearts
healed. My life has not always been this way, that
is why I know what it is to be unfocused and
adrift. I have been working on an ambitious project
for over a year now that has reinforced values and
ideals that run so deep to the bottom of my roots
that I am quite willing to die for them. Back in my
college days I never would have imagined what this
state of mind was like.
Think focused, channeled
energy.
